2001 FXDWG - CVO according to the H-D site 1700 were produced with the 88 inch engine - Scarlet red with the Gold flames.

the owner probably put the 95 inch kit in it - or had the dealer do it.

 Had a brain fart earlier and forgot about the "Switchblades" (CVO FXDWG) and moved this from the 2007/2008 SE Dyna board to Other topics but it's corrected now. Sorry. :-[

Confirming '01 Switchblades were stock 88 CI motors. They were CVO bikes but technically not Screamin' Eagle CVO's as they did not have SE motors. Some folks did the 88 CI to 95 CI Screamin' Eagle upgrade. Don't believe you can go from 88 CI to 96 CI.

First owner of my Switchblade performed that upgrade. He put about $4K into the motor according to the dealer invoice I got when I purchased the bike. Don't know that I would have spent that money, but happy he did.

For a thread on just about everything you can do to a Switchblade, get a cup of coffee and visit here:

Can't go from an 88" to the current 96" motor.   But you can gain the displacement.  Revolution Performance and Axtell both offer cylinder kits that will take an 88" to 98" as a bolt on task without touching the bottom end.
