I have and it works fine but you want to put it in "airplane mode" or it will be ringing all the time...

When it's over 100 degrees, my I phone 4s will shut down with a high temp warning. Does anyone know if the I pod nano is less temperature sensitive?

IPhone just plugs into the IPod cable

I-Phone is plug and play with a auxiliary wire from the ear phone plug-in to the auxiliary on the HK, a car charger to the cigarette lighter keeps it powered up.
I have never had my phone power off due to heat, even out in the desert.

Wife uses the iPhone, and yes if left out in the open it will overheat and shut down if left in hot sun. She now leaves the phone on a belt holder and uses a longer cable when temperatures are extreme

That must be the difference, When I stop I slide it out of the Riders Claw cradle and put it away while I'm stopped, so it must stay air cooled while going the road.

I've gone from SoCal to Maricopa,AZ. and back several times in the hot sun and high temps and my phone has never overheated and shut down.   :nixweiss:

I think I'll get a riders claw. I bought the cheap I phone case that is magnetic, which lets the sun beat right down on it. I'm ok for about an hour, then it shuts down. The temp was 110 at the time. I thought the riders claw was a little expensive for what they are but maybe not.

My Iphone 4 connects to my Scala Rider G4 helmet set with bluetooth and works fine.  If using the intercom it needs to be on VOX or it will overide the MP3.

I'm using an EDUP bluetooth reciever. No need to have a cable from you iPhone...the phone can be anywhere within 30' of the bike. The EDUP plugs directly into the front AUX port without cables. The unit is only 1" x 1/2" x 1/4" so you hardly notice it. It is battery operated and needs recharged (via USB) after about 8 hrs. Only costs about 20 bucks from Amazon, just search EDUP or use this link:

The iPhone 5 will be out soon.  I see that the docking plug is different than our older iPhones and iPod's. I think they are making the speakers a little larger and the plug is smaller.  And also the output jack is on the bottom side. I hope had withh come out with a new adaptor connector for them.  :nixweiss:

I have no doubt there will be an adapter.......we bought a Macbook Air a couple weeks ago and it has a different power cord plug connection than our 1 year old Macbook Air...sure enough the Apple Store has a $10 adapter.
