Custom Dynamics brake light strobe flasher
« on: November 27, 2016, 11:51:23 PM »

I probably should have inquired on this before I bout it but that would not be like me. It's getting old having folks riding up on my rear like Im not there so I thought it might make it more obvious I am braking if my brake light flashed or stroked a few times to get attention. It hasn't arrived in the mail yet. What are any thoughts on these. I would love to get folks to get off my back side a bit.

Have had them on my last four bikes and would not ride a bike without one. Third one down:

First addition to my last four bikes.  I highly recommend it.

The strobe effect works so well that I think it caused an accident behind me when the car directly behind me braked really hard and got rear-ended.   Better than me getting hit though!

Here was a thread I started last year about the install:

I went with the CD flasher for the light rail on my 2016 CVO RGU and couldn't be happier; very easy install. I'll most likely add one to the lower brake light as well just to get that much more attention.

I know it's a bit off topic but I also swapped to the CD Amber/White front turn signals which are also another attention getter.

yep you can count me also ! on my last two bikes   I just ordered custom dynamics windshield trim that has the driving lights/turn signals on cyber Monday got it for a good price can't wait to get it installed the more  light you have to grab attention of the other drivers the better your chances are of avoiding a unnecessary crash

Great to read. Thanks everyone. Thanks for the install link. It looked to be plug and play on the custom dynamic site. I also have one of the turn signal modulators? Coming. I replaced my lights with LED a while back and am worn out with the fast flashing bit. Just checking but they say on the site to install the strobe flasher downstream(nearest rear lights) in the chain. Any problems with the two connected in series this way?

I hate to admit this but I did get a devious chuckle from the post about the strobe causing an accident. Sorry...but somehow the visual just did me in.

Im looking forward to seeing if they get people to slow down behind me a bit.

A bit off topic but have found a rear flag seems to help cars behind notice the bike.  I also have the CD module and have had several comments about the brake lights flashing.

Have it on both my bikes.  Also installed their truflex led light bar on my license frame as extra brake light.  Really jumps at you when you hit the brakes!
