Öhlins 357 on 2019 CVO RG or SG?
« on: June 28, 2020, 09:07:34 PM »

Has anyone successfully mounted a set of Öhlins 357 remote reservoir shocks on a 2019 CVO?

The electrical connector on the 19 prevents the typical mounting position.

If you have, can you post a description of how you did it?

Thanks.

Smarty has a bracket that puts the reservoirs over the top of the rear fender and between the 4-point dock (see below), but I'm not particularly fond of that location or showing the reservoir cans at all.

I'm looking for a way to hide the reservoirs under the fender, but the late model CVO electrical connector is making that very difficult to achieve.

The 044 has a longer braided hose, which allows for a little more flexibility and mounting locations, but I suspect the 044 reservoirs would not mount out of sight with the late model CVO, either.

I might be pissing up a rope.

I have done it by making my own wider brackets. The brackets supplied with the shocks don’t work.
The left side is the more critical due to the larger connector.

Thanks for the info and pics. Very helpful.
