Other than an oil transfer issue (fixed) I find the handling much better than the 2016 OR the 2017 cvo limiteds I had. I think the new 19” front wheel makes a difference.
The 117 seems smoother than my 114. Can’t compare with my older 110 as that engine was not stock.
My newest cvo limited only has 1000 miles since March 1st so we’ll see if it keeps running as it does now. So far, I’m liking it.

As an owner of a 2017 CVO Limited that has been trouble free for 15k miles I would not hesitate buying a new 2019.

Thanks for the replies.   Are you guys using Syn3 oil in all 3 holes?

Nope.  I’m supposed to pick it up tomorrow.   I reckon I will and roll the dice.

Well, I bought a CVO Road Glide.  Gorgeous bike.  The little plastic piece under the ignition switch has already fallen off.  Bike runs good though.  100 miles already.

Congrats. Shame about that horseshoe piece. Sounds like a lazy moment at the factory. Make the dealer put it back on it you didn't loose it.

Bought a new 2017 CVO Limited in Oct 2016. Upgraded to 117 Stage IV. Engine sumped at 7500 miles. Replaced the original engine under warranty. HD upgraded replacement engine (#2) back to Stage IV. #2 engine sumped in 500 miles. Replaced #2 engine under warranty again. #3 engine was upgrade back to Stage IV again. #3 engine sumped in 1500 miles. HD replaced #3 engine with factory built Stage IV engine. I rode the bike for another 1500 miles and got rid of it while it was still running well.

I won't trust another new HD CVO until I've read details about a complete redesign of the M8 and there's proof that the redesign has addressed the numerous defects in the current design. If a redesign of the M8 engine doesn't get launched for the 2020 bikes, I'll be moving to another brand.

My '15 ignition switch cover fell off...twice.  Replaced first time under warranty (plastic tab that kept it in place broke).  The second replacement did it again and out of warranty...before anyone asks, I'm not rough on it at all.  I've maybe used the lock a handful of times in 4 years...otherwise that cover isn't bothered.  Second time on my dime, I took a small piece of aluminum tape to hold it in place.  The aluminum tape is shiny, you really can't see it anyway so it looks fine...been that way for about two years now and not moved a bit... ;D

It's the little burr-in-the-saddle things that just make HD ownership so much fun... :nervous: :huepfenlol2:

As for the original poster, I've had all kinds of HD's from shovel to Evo to twin-cam and they all ran fine but had other, silly no-reason-it-should-do-that issues along the way.  If you want the bike, go for it.  If you are worried about breakdowns, don't do anything to it during the 2 year warranty and ride the poop out of it.

Well I’m off to a bad start with my new ‘19 Road Glide CVO. Less than two weeks old, with only 69 miles on the bike, (ride home from the dealer, a 65 mile trip), the first check of fluid levels showed no oil on the transmission dip stick, engine 1/2 quart low and the primary over filled to the bottom of the derby cover.
Draining the transmission resulted in only 18 ounces of fluid, 10 oz. short. Draining and refilling the primary to the correct level resulted in an excess of 9 oz. of what was drained. Can you guess where that oil came from???
So this all indicates a +/- 10 ounce transmission to primary oil transfer in less than 70 miles. WTF!
Visited the dealer whose service team responded, “gee, we never heard of this happening”. That actually made me smile, of course they haven’t!
So the next step is for me to correct the fluid levels, drive the bike the 65 miles back to the dealer and see if the transfer repeats. Stay tuned boys and girls, I’ll keep you posted.
Oh yeah, they knew nothing about the latest band-aid fix from the MOCO, the primary vent kit #94100065
And as I was leaving, a flatbed tow truck arrived with a ’19 CVO Street Glide with a seized engine.
Time for an adult beverage.

Just for fun, what was the build date on your bike?

Hello Mike,
Build date 2/19
Tom P

Mine was 1/19
Dealer should check to see if the small plastic sleeve is installed on the clutch pushrod (it’s probably there).
Mine was a major transfer but now the dealers can call H-D and get the “quick fix kit” overnighted when they see the transfer issue.
The service department never sees the problem because they don’t ride your bike more than a mile until you bring it back after 5000 miles, and they STILL don’t notice there’s only 5 oz of oil in the trans and 45 oz in the primary case.  :soapbox:
Squeaky wheel gets the grease (or oil in this case).

Glad to hear that they fixed your transfer problem using the primary vent kit. What's the root cause is likely a MOCO top secret, but at this point, if venting works, I'm fine with that, just want to have a reliable ride for my long distance road trips.
Update on my transfer problem. My brother in law and I did a CVO twofer deal at our long time dealer. Me a Road Glide, him a Street Glide. They cut us a great deal and gave us big numbers for our CVO trade-ins. So when I found my tranny low and primary hi at 69 miles, I suggested he check his bike. Well guess what, he’s at 200 miles, with the same problem! So we will both be going to the dealer tomorrow. Have a good relationship with them, I’m confident we won't be jerked around. Stay tuned, you can't make this chit up.

600 miles on my new CVO Road Glide and no issues to report.  So far...good to go.
