Post by: MAINE RIDER on May 23, 2016, 11:57:13 AM
Since I had front forks serviced ,there is a vibration on left speaker , if I turn off radio it is gone , I can push around speaker grill and sometimes it will stop , any help on taking apart faring to find problem would be great .

Bat wings have 4 torx head bolts that hold the shell to the inner shell. Just remove those four bolts, gently remove outer fairing and your speakers will be easy to inspect.

Start by removing the windshield, then remove the screws that hold the outer to the inner, working from the inner side.  Open the attached pdf for full instructions.

Easy job and the file above is real good.  Screws 7 & 8 are sometimes a pain to get back in and I can't get to those two with my bike on the table as I have to be able to turn the handlebars.  Might just be me though.

The fairing brackets have been known to break and cause vibration, but I do not see how that would just affect the speaker.
