The attachment bar is removed when not trailering.
from there web site:Adjustable clamping bar with neoprene lined clamps prevents scratches. Always remove clamping bar when not trailering.
Do those effect ground clearance or lean angle like some of the center stands do? Are they compatible with center stands?

I went with "Powertye - big daddys" . Very sturdy, very nice wrap tail. Have used them for several years. They come in a nice bag to keep them safe when not in use.

I have used Powertyte for 5-6 years with no issues. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at purchasing a quality ratchet tie down strap. Friends of mine that have seen mine have ordered them online.

The bag is a nice feature for when not in use.
