It's about time that a gps is specifically designed for bikers. Can't wait to try one out.

I can't wait to see this thing.  Garmin finally put up the comparison (after I asked) so that I could match it up to the Roadtech Quest/Conquest.

They won't answer my question, though, if I can copy the dealer map over to the Zumo.  I'm assuming you can't...

I will REALLY be interested in anyone's feedback regarding this new system.  I have the HD Quest and have had a horrible time just keeping the thing from falling off both the  cradle and the fairing mount.  Garmin has sent me a "new" cradle that is supposed to fix the problem, but I can't see any difference from the new one to the old one.  Also, I went to the HD dealer and asked about a "new" fairing mount.  What I found out was there is a service bulletin about the "old" mount, but they are having trouble ordering the "new" mount.  I sure am anxious to see and hear about this new product and how it actually mounts to the bike.  Will keep looking for anyone to post some info.

GETFEETWET.com is where I am buying mine.  They have an unpublished price that you have to call them for.  They recently said that Garmin's release date is 11/25/06.  Thought you might want to know.  I think the latest price to me was around $800...?  We'll see what they come up with when they are shipping.

Has anyone found any information on how this SUMO is supposed to mount to the bike? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Spec. page says it comes with motorcycle mount. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Zumo Specifications

I'm interested in seeing it mounted and in use also. I can't decide whether I'd want to get it or the Garmin 2820.

http://stores.gpscrazy.com/-strse-110/Garmin-Zumo-550/Detail.bok

Check out this price...$739 free next day shipping.

These are scheduled to ship on 11/22!!!

Oh, and I believe that it attaches to standard RAM mounts.
Garmin has shipped these, and they should be in stock within 2 days.  That's the last word from GETFEETWET.com.  They are selling them for $775 Dealer Cost.  I got a quote today.  You have to contact them and pre-order, payment deferred.  If you tell them that you ordered it and you should be on the list, I bet you pay $775.  You have to call though.

OK, first one to get one and mount it PLEASE post some pics!!! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]  The price is about what I paid for the Quest from the HD dealer, and this new unit sure seems to be a lot better for the bike.  Who's going to be first? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

My unit shows as "SHIPPED" today.  That means I should have it tomorrow.  Of course I'll post photos.  So far GPSCRAZY has the best deal I've found.
