Great look Miked [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  Please post some more Pics.  I've been thinking about doing this too.  How much do you need to raise the bars to accomodate the nacelle.  do you see the spacer or is it covered up.

There are several ways you can do this, one way is using either 1/2 or 1 inch risers.  You can keep your original tach mount that way.  I had mine modifed to accomodate the road king tach mount.  You will have to drill a hole for the hydraulic clutch line.  If you use the riser method, keep you cover for the middle bolt, because it will expose some of the top of your triple trees.  If you go with the road king tach mount, it will require some machining work, Harley didn't make the tach mount to fit the fat handle bars. Good luck and post the pics when your done.

PS harley should have done this with the SE Fat Boys to start off with, it consistent with fat rear end.

Miked,
I just noticed you have a different trim ring around your head light, what is the number for that part. Its looks a bit better than the one I have that came with the Nacelle.

That is the oem mustache enging guard.  Although I like to call them foot rests! I'll get the #'s on the trim ring, it's the road king trim ring, deep dish, i dont know what exactly hd calls them.  Thanks for the compliments, still in the garage, rainy days in Georgia >:(

Miked that looks great!

Hey Aussie. That looks like the "Frenched-in" trim ring I ordered for my new SERK. I ordered that for the headlight and matching ones for the Aux Lites I'm installing.

Hi Hoist!

It's old Norse, from a medieval Norwegain Viking manuscript. I will try to translate it: "Moderately wise a man should be. Too wise he should not be, for seldom is Love to find in the heart of him who is too wise."

is that like the american saying "love is blind" [smiley=huh.gif]

Looks good Altugo  :2vrolijk_21: the Nac, gives the Fatty the look it needs!!
I have heard a lot of good things about the performance of the Thunderheader 2in1, and I actually like the way the pipes flow from the engine, and look great up to the point where they merge, then (for whatever reason escapes me) it just looks like someone hobbled together a bunch of scrap they found in an alley, I would seriously consider the Thunderheader 2in1 pipes if they would have made the muffler look cleaner and less eclectic,
I just don't get it, but I guess it could be the look they were going for  :-\

sorry for the rant, Its all Good!  :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink:

Eagle the only reson for me to go with the thunder headers was the performance issue. It was recomended by another member from this site.I really like the performance and the deep rumble but in esthetics department they kinda fail a little. But theres not many bikes with them on around here i just saw two more and they were both Titans.A guy even said "oh you got Titan exhaust".So they get a lot of attention somehow. Most popular pipes here are screamin eagles than some vance and hines and supertrapp.Samsons are on some bikes as well. :drink:

Alright, it almost looks as good as mine!  Good job with it!  What did you do with the open space over the main bolt where the triple trees?

Altugo,

Your ride has all of us wagging our tounges and drooling over here at my place.

See, I'm out in the garage bragging about the FatBoy that inspires OCD and I send in someone to look at our CVO site. He comes back to the garage, gets us to view some guy's latest completion and lo and behold, it's your ride, not mine. Or our Aussie's. Or ....

They are raving mad about your ride my friend. With due cause I might add. Just a work of art. "Great work" from 10 wanna be CVO owners, and 1 who is.

From OCD Central,

Kona76

Sorry for being nosey and if you do not wish to say its cool! But how much is a NACHELLE? And not a TECH. are they expensive to have installed? They really look like the old style chopper to me, but I would like to put more bling on my bike, thanks for any and all replys!!       PURPLE HAZE.

I think it is unanimous that ride looks BAS @SS!!  Awesome job!!!! that Nac is PHAT and that is good for a Fat Boy.  Stays with the theme of the big front end...they SHOULD have done that from the factory!!!

Haze heres the link:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441845095&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309169415&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309169415&CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198674778881&bmUID=1184487953107&bmLocale=en_US

It costs 399 and about 320 at chicago harley. Installation is a pain in the ass if you are mechanically challanged like me you need to dissassemble the whole front. :drink:

it's going to be about two hours worth of labor too.  I dont know how you can get rid of the the tach wiring.  All in all its somewhere around 500 to 600 completed.  It's just money, you'll make more! Plus its the best modification to the cvo fatboyz!
