One of our favorite pictures from our travels.
If I could figure out how to get a flag in there for Marty it would be perfect.

The crank pin went out resulting in the whole lower end being replaced. The crank, rods, and pistons come as a complete, balanced, and assembled unit from the factory and was more cost effective than repairing the old unit. The noise we heard was piston slap, and I'm sure glad it held together that last 400 miles on the 395 because there wasn't any support/service out there that could have helped us, just ask Marty.

The second largest canyon in the US and a great place to stop for the night if the Texas Panhandle is making you crazy.

The town of Canyon, TX is about 15 miles off the interstate and a good place to stay while visiting the park. Like your link infers there is a lot of history in the canyon and worth a stopover. Good place to eat  http://www.feldmansdiner.com/   Doc

Likewise, I used to work in Texas and placed fiber cable for Sprint from Bowie to Amarillo, TX in 1986 - Over 400 miles of surveying.

I'm now reading Quanah Parker's life story http://www.amazon.com/Empire-Summer-Moon-Comanches-Powerful/dp/1416591060 which describes this area in detail.  The Comanches controlled these canyons and the high plains for centuries.  It's a great book, written in detail about the struggle and ultimate surrender.  North Texas is awesome!

Marty?

Is it because you want to pay tribute to a man who had seven wives?   :nixweiss:  That is quite an accomplishment.   :huepfenjump3:   :huepfenlol2:
