Me and the wife just got back from a 370 mile overnighter to Little Rock and had the 1k service call performed.
HOT, HOT, HOT today.  They said the heat index was almost 118 degrees in the city.  Crazy.
I was sure glad for the liquid cooling.

Put close to 400 miles on it by riding over to the Flight 93 Memorial and back. Odometer hit 7k last week at the NRG GTG and 8k on the way home today.

Got it ready for Sturgis.  Changed oil to AMSOIL 60 wt, put Ride-On goo in tires and aired them to max cold pressure, and installed new Lyndall Gold+ front brake pads.  Removed drawbar for Bushtec hitch since we have a chase vehicle for luggage.

Ok, added a L2R derby cover, fairing pouch (last week), my HD Police 1 timer cover, tour pak rack brake light.  think that's it for now.  at least until i get back to the dealer.  I installed the wiring for the LED windshield trim, but when i finally pulled the trim out of the bubble wrap to install it, it was black instead of chrome... fail.  still have the HD scripted billet aluminum shift linkage to put on too...

Talked with "THE tuner" at HD of ATL about doing some dyno work on Blue and possibly a cam change on top of the Fullsac X-pipe/2.0 baffles/TTS mapping as a way of knocking down the engine heat a few ticks.  Not to worried about additional HP/Torque beyond whatever's inherent in the well-tuned 110" SE motor... just bringing down the heat.

We decided that a phased approach is probably best: let him put it on the Dyno and see what he can do to sort it out.  Then, consider a larger volume head pipe and then perhaps cams.

Removed the factory clips on the bags and installed bolts with lock washers for added piece of mind.

Pretty sure lean it out, is exactly the opposite of what you want.  They come from the Factory too lean.  Add the X-pipe and baffles it will be even leaner.  The tuner should use the TTS to richen up the mixture.  A richer mixture will run cooler than a leaner mixture.

I took mine out for a ride today after a repairing a bent valve that happened a week ago. While I had it torn down I went ahead and had the cylinders bored .060 over, making it a 113" now.
I felt great to get out and get a few miles on. I could do without the 100* temps, tho.

Picked up my bike from Savannah Harley for the 10,000 mile service.   I asked them to sign my owners manual and they put 8,000 miles instead of the 10,121 that was on the odometer. Why would anyone get a 10k service with 8,000 miles?

I am a suspicious person, sometimes unfounded, but if this indicates that you already have 2,121 miles on your last service, I would make them change it and resign for it.

Not exactly to my CVO, but for it. Set up an Audible account to stream audiobooks through my phone while riding. With the revisions to the audio system this works really well and provides an alternative to music only.

I don't know the 'why' except just an honest mistake, but I would absolutely go back and make them correct the record.

Just got done changing transmission fluid.  Good news it what came out looked great.  Went with Red Line 80W with shockproof.

Getting ready to go out and ride now.  92 degrees wish it would cool down.
