Got rid of that "Wind Splitter" Windshield, too.  It was like looking through a Carnival mirror......to me, anyway.  Put the original back on.   8)  Later--HUBBARD
That has to be the best description I've ever read concerning the distortion on wind screens.

Don't know what bike you have but when I changed the bars on my '11 SERGU I had, I pulled the 660 wires out of the stock bars and fought like hell to get them through the new ones. I did manage to get it done though.

Did you have the genuine Harley 660 or the off the shelf model.  My unit is not the Harley version and I would not even try to put that inside the bars.  I might want to change bikes someday.

It's kinda scary when a carnival mirror makes some people look...better.   :o

I don't suppose it works that way with the landscape out in front of you when you're doing 70mph, though.

Yup, it was the one that came on the bike. I know I have a pix of that disaster of wires but you've got a great point about moving it to your next bike. There is another "Y" or "splice" like the two you see in the pix also.

I changed out the tank badges.  Got rid of the old lifeless, anemic, cheapazz badge in favor of one that screams CVO!

To get it installed internally...take it apart at the mount end and pull from the center to the grip.

Good Idea,  I do not even think of that being a possibility. It only took me about ten minutes to put the wires thru and synch them down.  I only have one zip tie that you can actually notice, the others are hidden by the mount and just inside the fairing opening for the handlebar.     I spent more time on getting the fairing apart and back together than it took to run the wires.

Very nice upgrade on the badge.  :2vrolijk_21:

Curious though how you managed to purchase the new ones as I thought they were only available to people who have the bikes that came with those badges.  :nixweiss:
