Last night I replaced the throttle-side heated grip on my 2016 FLTRUSE.  Why?  Because I'm a dumbass and dropped the bike to the left.....then did the classic "lifted it too far" and it went over hard.  Oopsies.  $135 for the single grip.

If anyone ever has to replace their grip on a 2016 FLTRUSE, the electrical connector is inside the grip waaaay at the bottom.  The chrome cap on the end pops off so after putting the grip on the bars you can use needle nose pliers to plug in the connector.  Took me a while to figure that out since there were no instructions and I don't have the service manual.

Went South West and rode the BRP back up and half way up Skyline Drive over the long weekend. I was surprised that a large chunk of Skyline Drive was burnt from a recent fire.

Well yesterday I was headed home on HWY 305, was just getting back in my lane from passing a logging truck.  Just as I was completing the pass at 70 mph I hit a buzzard on the left side of the fairing, then my clutch, mirror and my left hand.  My mirrors are not stock and are thin and sharp.  Cut the buzzard open good enough to get his guts all over my tour pack speakers, back rest and so on.  I little got on my hand but no where else on me.

Sprayed the guts off yesterday.  This morning it will get a detailed cleaning and inspection to make sure no damage, but there was noting I saw yesterday.

No ride is complete without slicing buzzard guts on your bike, right?

Ya, the big openings didn't look right to me so I got creative and thought I'd try the double dual,
