I left it in the garage and took my Custom Galaxy Glide to the Rough Rider Rally in Las Vegas, NM where it attracted some attention.

Hello Simon,  That a bas a$$ looking machine!  Rider poser looks awesome too!  Have fun in Sturgis.  Hope you avoid the snoring from last year!

No MGV.  My events are limited this year.  Probably just Ocean City, MD., East Coast Sturgis and Colonial Beach VA. to finish out my rally season.  I'm slowing down this year.  I just put in a S&S 124LC and doing a little local break-in riding.  That is like putting a Briggs & Stratton lawn mower engine into a tractor trailer when compared to what your riding!  lol.  ;D

If I show, it's what I plan to be riding. Not much on racing. I'll open it up but frankly it just gets up to top speed faster. Top speed is still the same unless you change the bottom end, beef it up and change the gear ratios. And I sure don't know how to do that, just read about it and bet it cost just as much as putter the blower on it.

You're right about that, DH!  The infamous Buddy Parrot had Tilley put one on his Bike, and he blew the bottom end out of it more than once, before Tilley beefed it up.  And that didn't make it bullet-proof, it just lasted a little longer.  Buddy Parrot twisted it every time he mounted it!  It had like 200HP, I think.  That Harley was dangerous!  Later--HUBBARD

I can't imagine only getting 6k out of a set of tires.  I got over 20k on my stock dunlops and still had plenty of tread.  only changed due to cupping.

Had a Great Ride down, but got a wet-a$$ from Fancy Gap, all the way home.  Had to stop a few times, as it was really pouring.  BigLew met me at Tilley's, and we chewed the fat for a couple hours.  He rode a ways back with me, but we never got to twist 'em, much.  Well hell, none at all, actually.  Not that I could do anything with his Motorsickle, anyway, and there was just too much traffic.  Then we ran up on Deputy-Dawg, a ways before where Mike turned off to head to Greensboro.  Hard to twist 'em like we used to.  Never seen so much dam traffic as there is!  Everywhere!  Gonna' take me a little longer to clean Ol' Maybelle this time.  That dam rain looks like somebody poured milk all over the Ol' Girl!  A mess, to say the least.  Sure am glad I got those cupped out pieces of chit off my Motorsickle.  Maggie Valley will be a lot more fun with new rubber!  Later--HUBBARD

skratch, you don't know Hubbard. Ol Hub don't hold back when he rides. No burnouts but he has been known to stretch the speed limit a little now and then. :o
