Spent most of Saturday removing everything added to my 2017 CVO Street Glide, as I traded it in on the 2018 CVO Road Glide.

I removed the docking hard ware, heavy breather, cup holder, hwy pegs and mounts, CB, CB antenna, and the garage door opener and the Paul yaffe plate frame.  I also removed the Klock werks windshield.  Only thing I left were the Paul Yaffe 14 Monkey bars.

I pick up the new bike at 11:00 today and drop this one off.

11 months 20510 miles on the CVOSG.  Glad to be back on a Road Glide

Congratulations, Dave. Many miles and smiles for you on the new scooter.

Well Yesterday dropped the 17 Street glide off, put the last 57 miles on her.  Put 100 miles on the new road glide.  At 65 miles I replaced the joke of a factory windshield with a Klock Werks 14" Sport Flair.  Also added a rider back rest from the street glide.

Congrats, and many safe & carefree miles on your new RG... Pics forthcoming no doubt. 

Have several pictures in the road glide thread.  Need a few now with the new windshield and back rest.

I put a nice 260 miles on her yesterday after the new shield and back rest.  Looks like rain today so I have a few projects to do on the bike.

Rainy day yesterday.  So I Installed the garage door opener, and I installed the CB.  The CB will require the WHIM interface cable thats about 50 dollars so it will transmit from the wireless head set.  It receives just fine, and radio recognized the addition right away.

Next I installed the 4 point quick detach hard ware.  I also went on and removed the passenger foot pegs and mounts, and plugged the holes.  I then installed the short angle hwy peg mounts.  When I went to put the foot pegs in them, I found both sided the allen bolt was stripped, it had pulled the aluminum onto the bolt threads.  Really upset me after measuring every thing to get them set up exactly the same.  So those go back to dealer today.

Last project was to install the Yaffe Stealth III black plate frame.  Well, didn't get that done either.  Seems that the 7/8 nut that holds the black plastic cover over the plug and bolts inside the fender turns and turns but does not come loose.

Well I put another 140 miles on her yesterday, for a total of 526 miles.  I also put on the Yaffe Stealth III plate frame.

Well I rode her over to the Hot Bike Kick-off party and Smoky Mountain Harley yesterday, so I got more miles on her.  When I got home put her in the garage on a battery tender.  I have 668 miles on her.  Got the new Yaffe 14 Monkey bars on order also.

You know, if you don't want to keep it on a battery tender and your wife doesn't want to ride it while you are away, I can make some room in my garage and "store" it for you....I'd even ride it a bit just to keep the battery charged and fluids warm 'til you return.....

Picked up my newly de-catted header yesterday afternoon and, Lord willing, I'll install this afternoon....let you'uns know how it turned out in a day or so after my grin dissipates...
