Dad and step mom lives in Summerville....just "down the street" from Uncle Mikey....who lives within spittin distance to Middleton Place plantation...another spot you need to visit, JC.

Expensive?  Man you don't want to go to California.  Just a couple of days ago Babe and I were talking about how affordable this area is.   

We went by Middleton Place just before we went to dinner with Mikey and his wife.  I didn't have my camera with me that day but did take it yesterday and will do a ride report within a few days.   

I agree......a lot of history in Savannah and Charleston area.  These were two towns that we visited often on weekend liberty when I was stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC.  We were just about in the middle so we went back and forth often.  I remember a lot of drunk Marines and Sailors but I don't remember all of these tourists.  Maybe my memory was a little skewed by all the alcohol back then.....

Installed Hogworkz extended bags and HD fender lacelle . Liked the look but pipes were to close to the bags, After 8 hours of riding anything in the bottom of the bags got really hot. Modified exhaust to gain 1" clearance.

Installed Rocker Lockers, S&S Premium lifters with adjustable push rods and ran an external crankcase vent, then went on a 5 mile test ride, engine nice and quit!

Rode 'em.  All three.  Not terribly far on each one.  But all of 'em.  That always qualifies as a good day.

i fullsac...ed the SOB and changed the lifters then rocker locked it, put in some S&S high dollar lifters and just used the stock push rods...hope they give me as good of service as the ones i put in the last bike, had 38k on them and never touched it. they had the travel limiters, not sure if that had any thing to do with it. going put a caned map in it tomorrow, if i can get that figured out.... not to savvy with the oh computer stuff

I was stationed in Charleston SC for 6 years.  Love that area, and would still be there if the base had not closed.  Had to sell my home and transfer to a new base.

Great pictures.  Many cool plantations in that area.  Enjoyed visiting them.  Lots of history.

Tried to get to Charleston from Day one in the Navy.  8 years in I finally got there.  I was there 7 years.  My favorite duty station in my 20 year career.  So much to do in the area, so much history and the People are very friendly.

Chrome was dulling on plastic water pump cover. Thought I would make a Aluminum one and extend it. Sent it out for powder-coating then I will see how it looks.

I rode the Dragon.   A great day to do it.....kind of warm but very little traffic.

I changed my fairing vent from Orange to black. I've already changed the chrome lower forks to black as well as the windshield trim and the exhaust. Here's a before pic.
