Got home from a Sunday morning ride and no right side saddle bag, this bag carries all my tools and such so it’s prolly over weight capacity. in a frizzy I jumped in my truck and started backtracking my route. Just a mile or two up the road there it was, contents intact. Maybe it’ll buff out.  :drink: First bag I’ve lost with many miles under my belt. I had a u-nut and bolt on the rear mount, dzus fastener on front. I did notice a few months ago the bolt backed out on the bag on the other side and have been paying attention. Apparently not close enough, I don’t won’t this to happen to anyone else so just a heads up. There will be a foolproof method on my bike before too long. At least I found it.  :)

I hope you can save the paint!
I’m using the same mounting setup you are on 2 of my bikes, I’ll be looking more closely from now on!

Sorry to hear that Phil. Like others have said, glad you found it.  I use the plastic knobs myself on mine and on one trip they had both loosened up. I find myself checking them from time to time.

I came up with this from what I had in my garage, stainless bolt, captive washer, small spacer, lock washer and same flat washer against the bag grommet, there is a small o-ring last over bolt to keep assembly in place when using for convenience. I can squash the lock washer flat just using my fingers while tightening. Gonna try it and report back. I do have some contents in this bag and glad I found it just for this reason. Maybe I should lighten the load some, I kept adding over the years till it was full, ballast for smooth sailing.  :drink:

Leave a couple of those gold bars at home next time. It'll lighten the load.

Damm, where do you put your jacket!

Wherever I can.

That is what I saw when I opened up my stray bag, it can still hold a pair of chaps, gloves and maybe a bottle of water if packed neatly. It’s been a welcome sight when someone is broke down on side of the road more than a few times. One of my favorite saves is using my siphon hose to drain out a full tank of diesel on a bike that stalled out.  ;D

Back to normal, even got a ride in today.  :orange:

Sorry to hear this.
Had the same on my prior CVO Road King, case lost while driving.

These are installed on my new CVO Street Glide: Harley Davidson 90201540 Saddlebag Bag Mount Lever Kit. I think they hold up for sure.

Take care  :)

Went on a couple hour ride, to test out the recently fixed Heated seat. Had to make sure that is was not just the switch lighting up, but actually get heated buns. Well my buns heated up, so success!
Then managed to go the local  (Motor City) HD dealer, and only spend a whopping 5 bucks!
Needed to fix my squeaky left side exhaust. Purchased a new rubber isolater (hangar) for the slip on. So far so good. Tried lubing the old one, but it only lasted a short time.
