I took a nice 175 mile ride yesterday afternoon as it was a perfect day out.  Took back roads to North of Harriman, then US 27 north to Just above Wartburg where I to 62 west to Clark Range, then  US 127 south to Pikeville, then 30 East to back roads home.  Great hilly, twisty roads.

TN that sure looks like a good fix.

Mr. D thank you.

I am really liking the Whiskey Neat.  Gunslinger did a very good job with this paint job.  The whiskey color really pops in the sun.  The VVT motor is very nice, very broad torque curve.  The front suspension is a noticeable improvement, front brakes have more stopping power.  Rear suspension is a slight improvement.  The new Road Glide fairing has improved wind management once you replace the joke of a windshield Harley puts on it. I like the new tank design and the new bag shape.  Harley claims they hold more, I'll see on my first trip.

The new Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU) is very nice.  You can choose three different gauge layouts.  You can do everything with the new hand controls. I also like you can she what gear your are in at all time even with clutch in.

I absolutely hate the Kickstand down safety switch down alarm. It kills the bike if you shift into gear stand down, you cant start the bike stand down.  If it momentairly looses connection it kills the motor.

We have had this "safety feature" in Germany for many years and is mandatory for technical approval for the motorcycle.

I'm glad you're so happy with the new CVO. Have fun with it.

I installed a Riders Backrest, from Bad Boyz Cyclez.  Workmanship seems very nice.  If I had a passenger it will fold forward on to rider seat.  It has height adjustment and angle adjustment for the pad.  Right now its at lowest point.  I think that's going to be right for me.  Hope to ride today to test.  If I need lower I'll simply take 1.5 inches off the bottom of the flat bar that goes in mount.

Nice to see they're making them with more adjustments. I have one of theirs in my '12 and really like it. I had my buddy modify the bracket to go back further though as it was too far forward for my liking.

I had that bracket on my 17, 18 and 19.  This is sturdier and better made.

Took a 98 mile ride yesterday.  I need to adjust the pad forward 1/4 to /1/2 inch I think  Set screw may be an issue.  It was as tight as a dare get it, bending allen wrench.  When I got home it was loose.  I may also want it a little lower than it is.

I had my Mustang seat changed by a local saddler.
Gel cushion, better rain protection and improvements in the padding. Seams are finished in red to match the paintwork.

GKroadking, that seat looks really good.  I always liked the paint job on your bike and the seat complements it.

I took a 158 mile ride yesterday, over to SMHD to have a cigar with a friend, then over to the Foothills park way, than along 129 and the little TN river to home.  Beautiful day, 72 degrees except on top of the Foothills where it was 63.  Fall colors were great on the Foothills.

Had a nice ride yesterday.  Rode down to Cleveland, the Tennessee State Veterans home were we met up with some other AmVets.  We ran bingo with prizes for the Resident Veterans.   The Resident Veterans had a blast.  Afterwards I continued riding to enjoy the beautiful and and fall colors, 190 mile day.

Dave, it's fantastic that you're enjoying that new scooter so much. But from reading on here you thoroughly enjoy a performance bike. So I'm curious as hell, does that 121 ci have enough balls? Or are you itching for more?

I really do like a well built bike, my 13 CVO King and My 19  CVO Road Glide were a blast to ride.  Both bikes were built for broad torque curves.

This bike has a very broad torque curve. So it has good torque most the RPM range once it comes up.  The bike feels like it has more power than it does.  The fact that this VVT is new to Harley I am not anxious to void the warranty.  I would expect Harley will have some Stage kits for it soon.  A 135 Kit seems like a no brainer as this engine shares the same crank as the 135"  So the cylinders and pistons already exist.

Did nice 147 mile ride yesterday on my way to physical therapy.  Fall colors are great, so is 75 degrees and no humidity.
