I absolutely hate the Kickstand down safety switch down alarm. It kills the bike if you shift into gear stand down, you cant start the bike stand down.  If it momentairly looses connection it kills the motor.

Soundz just came out with a bypass harness for the kickstand issue. $50.

Standard on police Harley’s for years. A dab of silicone and a washer to fool the bike. Works like a charm.

I've been a Road Captain for many years and you wouldn't believe how many people leave their kickstand down while taking off in group rides!
The worst thing is some forget their NOT in neutral and start their bike even before they get on! Metric bikes have had that for many years!

I absolutely hate the Kickstand down safety switch.  Reason is that if the switch has a failure it kills the engine.  Poor design in my opinion.  50 bucks is pretty high for a simple jumper.

Yesterday lunch time rode to cycle gear to get a new pin lock for my helmet.  Then late afternoon rode over to SMHD for the Dragon Chapter HOG meeting.  Nice 212 mile day.  Been loving our great weather this week.

I mad minor adjustments to the backrest, its almost perfect now.  Then to a 237 mile ride enjoying the great weather and fall colors.  Colors on the Cherohala Skyway were great.

We have had this “feature” for many years. You get used to it... and the switch has never been broken on any of my motorcycles.

It's strange my 2021 Pan America has this same switch, and its never once bugged me.  Yet it bugs the hell out of me on my CVO Road Glide.

Did a nice 108 mile ride yesterday morning, also picked up new drain plugs and stabil for the boat while on the ride.  Came home, took the boat for the last ride of the season, spent 3 hours on it, added stabil and filler her up. Safe on the lift, and will winterize soon.

Took a nice 240 mile ride yesterday through southern WV. It was warm day so I decided to run down to Mountain State HD to get a first hand look at a some new iron including a CVO Road Glide.

The ol Road King looks even better after seeing what they had to offer.

Some time ago, just before MV, I changed baffles in my mufflers from Fulsac 2.0 to 2.25. I liked the sound but felt I lost a little low end torque particularly when doubling. I decided to put the 2.0 back in, but before I did, I cut the very end of each baffle off about 1 1/2 inches. My logic being that it might change the sound having the baffle end while still shrouded by the endcap. It has worked like a charm, the bike sounds a bit meaner or more aggressive, and I got my torque back.

While doing all of this, the rubber grommet that holds the muffler on the left side was found to be loose in the metal loop it fits in. The grommet doesn't really show much wear, but it was loose fitting enough that the muffler could move around a little more than the right side. Some black  tape wrapped around the grommet until it fit tight has worked well, until a new grommet comes in. I had noticed a little vibration that is now gone after tightening the muffler connection up.

I've owned this machine since new and after 43,000 miles it rides and runs better than it ever has. I have absolutely no desire to ever get rid of it.

Started out this morning on a multi day trip to AZ….didn’t happen!

Leaving Dago with calm breezes it started to get windy over the passes towards Yuma.
I called ahead to my friend and she said blowing sand there! I’ve ridden in those conditions before but I’m not taking my new bike out to get sand blasted!
I’ll try again this Saturday.

I spoke to bad boyz cycles today.  The seat needs something.  He sent me this and adds jell and can push me back a little. Zoom in.
