Is my amp going bad??
« on: August 20, 2012, 10:09:33 AM »

Yesterday I left on a ride and my speakers started to cut out from right to left when I turned the volume up.  If I kept the volume low they were fine.  I made a few stops throughout the day and on my last stop the stereo started working like normal again.

I tried the CD; Ipod and radio and it cut out on all of them.

I'll be around the area just south of west point.  Give me a call if you decide to do any riding.  319 470 2873

I'm going up to the Harley Dealer today, they already ordered the amp so we'll see??

one needs to think about how amps work. There is probably nothing wrong with your system. Certain tones causes a woffing effect when using a amp with no adjustments. When the volume is high the certain sound is produced it over drives the amp which causes the woffing effect.
I have had several amps on bikes and almost everyone that could not be adjusted had a woffing effect. Some worse than others.
just a thought
