Other than having custom work this is about your only option:

http://cvobackrest.com

You can either use their pad or order a matching harley one.

I tried a CVO backrest. Just wanted to give you a heads up. It doesn’t fold forward at all so you have to be tall enough to swing your leg over it all the time. Or I’ve seen guys get one from the high side by just lifting leg and sliding into position. I couldn’t do either very well, I’m only 5’7”, so I bought a mustang seat.

when using my tour pack in the solo position, i would mount the bike from the high side.  put your right hand on the throttle grip, left hand on backrest, right foot on floorboard, then step up, left leg over the seat and just sit right on down.

it feels a little different the first couple of times, but you quickly get used to it.  and i'm only 5'4'', so it isn't a matter of height.

I never noticed the footboard being used. It just always seemed to be the six footers doing it this way. I thought they just lifted over and that was it. I’ll give it a shot tomorrow. Thanks!

Tony

Moving the tour pack forward gives much better weight distribution if you do not carry a passenger

My 2009 CVO RG, first bike I did this to.

My 2012 CVO RG, second one I did this to.

Here is the 15 CVO RG Ultra moved forward.

Wow. That white/black shark is gorgeous.

I’m guessing switching the tour pack from one up to two up requires changing the mounting bracket attached to the bottom of the pack?

Thanks, Shark was the best paints scheme every by Harley in my opinion.

Yes, Harley makes a solo mount rack for the tour pack

Probably a dumb question but is the plate inside the pack that the 1up mount attaches to the same for both mounts?
