Two actual caskets from the 50’s…these were placed on the secret two floor where the women would not be able to view them.  The only access to this floor would be in the storage room via the rope drawn elevator.

The inside of the company store where miner’s wives would place their orders which would take an average of 2-3 hours to process.  Women were only permitted to walk on the concrete area of the store.

On the third floor would be the “man cave”…Dancing, Playing Cards, “Fun” mmmmm.  The corner door is the guard house 24/7/365!

There is so much more to this stop that I did not photograph.  In addition there were facts shared that saddened my heart and soul.  This visit made an impression on my blessed life and I am thankful for it but sad for those who had to live it.
