Zeb, welcome to the site!

I think it's tough to nail down a value on something without seeing it, but based on what other stuff has been going for lately, I would say something at, or just south of, $30K should buy the bike.  Be careful of the current owner placing too high a value on the items he's added.  The tour-pak will carry some value, but the bolt-on performance mods tend to add only a fraction of their original purchase price to the value of the bike.

That's my opinion, others might see it differently . . .

NADA guide shows $25,340 as average retail (bike only, no added equipment).  http://www.nadaguides.com/Values/ValueReport.asp?UserID=c818e4c7-7030-45de-ad44-3d05f85fa33e&DID=38678&Type=MC&GCode=MC&wPg=1107&wSec=3&Letter=H&Com=0098&Year=2004&Model=1200016125

Two deparate dealers recently offered me $18,000 to a high of $20,000 on a trade, without looking at my 04 SEEG. Didn't care what I added.
Kinda' sad I thought.

I believe you will find that the trade-in value on our bikes is not going to follow previous experience; the MoCo has increased production of the CVO's to the point that they really aren't very rare, and the overall motorcycle market is pretty soft right now (there have been some reported sightings of dealers actually discounting new CVO's!).  Your best bet for getting a good price is a private sale - you just need to find someone as crazy as most of us are, and who just has to have one no matter what the price.

Why do you think some are called "Stealers"? They buy cheap, sell high! Just imagine what they would list the bike for on the floor after dealer inspection, etc, etc. I do realize everyone has to eat, but bologna and cheese is a meal too (it will keep the "miss meal cramps" away). Can't have steak and lobster every meal.
