Will the mufflers off your 2014 fit your 2020 trike?
:nixweiss:

Is this because of the CATS being in the mufflers?

Not sure, I traded the 2014 in on the trike, hated to part with the 2014 but I broke my back last July...dirt bike mishap...looonnnggg story.....

I believe the cats in the main pipe like others....
I'm continuing to communicate with Steve....seems the cores in the trike cans are full 360 welded unlike the spot welds in two wheel CVO's....will update post when I hear back from Steve.

Buy a set of CVO take off mufflers and you’ll be good to go.

Are the trike mufflers longer then the two wheel counter part.

According to service mgr at Waco HD they are the same length..
-
Looks like it will take a little extra prep time on the trike cans.....fullsac cores and tech mat on the way...I'll update when parts arrive and work begins....

Maybe the headpipe is longer then I thought I heard something was different on them but might not be

Update: Fullsac 2" cores and techmat arrived a few days ago.
Got started by removing the extension tip.
-
Tool prep, 1 3/4 hole saw - cut plug for guide.
3 5/8" hole saw to cut full welded end plate.
Scrap 10ga drilled to hold muffler.
-
On with the cutting - Success!!!
The 3 5/8" hole saw with 1 3/4" plug guide will leave roughly 1/16" lip from end plate.
I cleaned up the rough edge with deburring tool....
Fullsac instructions say drill 1/4" hole 1 1/2" from end of can to secure new cores...because of the location of the original weld I drilled the new 1/4" hole @ 1 1/4" from the end...
Installed Techmat and new core...Life is good!!!

I hope the results are what you wanted. Looks like you planned out the installation very well.
