Pipes for 99 fxr3
« on: May 10, 2020, 08:45:01 AM »

My bike has a Vance & Hines 2 into one pipe on it. Nice pipes but I can't get used to the sound of the 2 into 1 and I want a good set of  pipes for it.
On all the big parts sights as soon as I put in 99 fxr3 I get almost no options for exhaust. Any advice on what would actually fit would be great Thanx

factory exhaust was two into two. the head pipes are listed as not available.. you may have to start dredging around in folks stash.

The exhaust parts were used on a lot of bikes over many years.  The stuff is still out there; at least a little.  The line below is an automatic search string I've got saved at ebay.  It lists the mufflers, pipes, and heat shields.  The smaller bracketry and clamps are readily available.  Most of it is still in the Drag book.  Paste the line below in to an eBay search and see what comes up.

Thanks I'll give it a shot. I would think the twin cams would run the same exhaust but info seems to be hard to come by

Early Dyna with the same transmission are (mostly) compatible.  Fab up a mount bracket sometimes.  Takes a little work but there are options.
