« on: September 18, 2013, 03:52:18 AM »

I put in the CD DynamicRingz recently, which brings up one
question:

:o How to clean the area behind the left and right side-cover?  :o

Trick and tips are welcome   8)

BTW, dont tell me it's dirty I know  :-\

Easier if you don't let it get that bad. I use an air nozzle/compressor and paint brush.
Have washed it occassionaly too while doing the rest of the bike.

Wash it, blow dry. Sponge, soft wheel brush or whatever.

One area really need to watch if you do wash with water. The fuse contacts! My used 08 had some corrosion on them. I pulled each one and coated with die electric grease and worked them in and out a couple of times. Now my heated grips work again.

Gary, I think I'm going to keep my side covers on until you make it to one of out GTG's and then let you do the peeking!   :lolk: :zroflmao:  I'm hoping that speck you are referring to on my underside rail is my bell.   :D  ;D.  I thought for sure you would comment on my foot on the brake!   :lipsrsealed2: :znotworthy:

The side covers always come off for the end of season cleaning, Judy.  Now, how are you gonna let that pretty bike of yours sit there all winter long knowing you got dirt behind there?!?  :o :nervous:

Bandit, I like where you chose to put your signal load equalizer.  I just stuck mine in the cavity behind the gas tank and in front of the battery near the top.  I might want to pull it out and reroute it to where you did.
