Thanks very much Merlinii, I will make an attempt at this...then possibly take it to the dealer to remedy my mistakes. 

Don't do the FM modulator version.

Direct wire into the radio aux jack.
This is a much better quality install.

I did finally ask Powerlet about a quick disconnect for the 660.  Official answer from powerlet... no quick disconnect planned for the 660   

No we do not. The 660 was totally redesigned and the raw cables for us
to use are priced over $50 and as such, we opted to not support the
model. Very complex in the wiring and as such, not popular enough to
move forward with.

Someone set me straight (thanks!)... you can get the quick dsconnect from Techmount... but there is no wiring harness (that I'm aware of) for the 660 that isn't hard-wired.
