Hello;
I have a FLHTCUSE5, and have the garage door system from the headlight.  My system has been working and abruptly quit.  The garage door still works fine from my car and the wall switch.
How do I go about trouble shooting this system?
I can see a red light on solid on the Harley adapter that I have mounted high in my garage.
The Headlight switch from Low to High no longer does anything, and I have tried it from inside the garage and different places outside the garage.
Thanks for any ideas and help

Have you "re-synced" it again?

if not, try that first.

Mine did that once and all I did to fix it was unplug the receiver for a few minutes then plugged it back in, and that fixed it.

Thanks Guys!
Now I have to ask is unplugging the same as re-synced?
I will try this tonight unplugging.  Let me know how to re-sync but I will also look for my install paperwork.

Unplugging will not re-sync the receiver.  Sync is done by holding the button down on the receiver and toggling the headlight switch from low to high to low.  If the receiver is too far away to reach easily you can use a helper to hold its button.  Or just unplug the receiver from its outlet, bring it close enough to the bike so you can reach the headlight switch while holding the button on the receiver.  Use an extension cord to get power to the receiver.   :2vrolijk_21:

If that does not correct the problem try to borrow a receiver from a friend, sync it to your bike and connect it to your garage door opener to see if it works.  I had a receiver fail a couple years ago but since I had two CVOs that were synced to it and neither would work I suspected the receiver was bad.  Swapped it out and sure enough that was the problem.

Thanks my friends..!!  Ultrafxr, Rick, Keats.
I didn't have to sync it.  The power off reboot did the trick..! ( I am printing the procedure for syncing just in case.)
Thank You
I called the HD shop they had no idea.  I booted it and it worked so I called the Service Manager back and filled him in (he is a good dude).
Nothing beats these forums for these types of fixes.  Sounds like a small thing but every time I wanted to use it it would been a source of irritation....Now I am very happy because things work like they should.
