With this mod, doe the CD player still function?  And will the front jack still work as well as the back jack, seperately of course?  Thanks   Scot

Yes the CD player still works and the front jack works as well as the added one.  Just don't use both inputs at the same time.

How useful is this. Thank you very much for sharing these instructions.

The MP3 player arrived at Preston HD today. The service manager says there is a jack plug on the end of the lead. He's ripping the radio out so that one of my techmen at work can parallel off another jack socket in the rear of the stereo casing.

Did someone say that the storage card comes with a few tracks on it for easy testing?

103,

Did you wire the player internally through the handlebars?

Regards

I did, with the 575's :2vrolijk_21: You'll need to drill a hole in the bars for the wire though..

Hey Dude,

Why would your 575 cams mean no need to drill the bars?

Ok, now I have this twisted image in my head of a set of Wild One 575 handlebars sticking out the side of a Twin Cam  :huepfenlol2: .

Even worse what about the cams hanging off the bars with an MP3 player attached :huepfenlol2:

Has any one added a aux input to an 07?  From what I can tell the mods where for an 06.  Was there any change to the inside of the 07 radios?

Welcome to the board, Marc!

Actually, this thread (the one you're in right now) details the mod for the '04 & '05 Radio Sound manufacuterd radios.

This thread: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=10044.0 shows how to do the '06 and up Harmon Kardon radios.  I think only one guy here ("hd-dude") has done this mod on the HK radio.  After you read that thread I think you see why . . . . the HK radio is somewhat trickier to work on.

Has anyone done this mod on the 2002 and older radios with the cassette deck?  I'm guessing it might be similar, but was wondering if anyone knows for sure.
