I updated the Zumo with the latest software and went for a ride.  While playing MP3 tunes, the Zumo will quit playing and no functions on the touch screen will work.  Power down, turn on and it works again for about 15 minutes, then the same thing.  Any ideas?

Did it work prior to the upgrade?  If so, I'd do one of two three things:  Try doing the upgrade again; try reloading your MP3's; Reload the old version that worked.

Run mp3val on all your mp3 files. You may have a bad one.

Turn off random play and play ALL. When it freezes, restart it and play should resume at the same place, giving you a quick look at the name of the failing mp3.

I had one bad mp3 and discovered that when I added an album cover to it in iTunes, I'd picked a huge 2MB jpg that the Zumo didn't like.

Dave's right.  That forum is hard to beat when it comes to zumo knowledge.  Dave is among a large group of power users that can help with almost any issues or quirks that the zumos have.
