2015 cvo street glide - make abs work with a 23"?
« on: June 02, 2017, 01:10:27 PM »

so overall diameter is taller with the 23 on the bike, and of course i have an abs light now.  assuming it's due to the size of the wheel,  are there different sensors, or any kind of boxes, or somewhere in the tune where this can be changed?

From what I've read people have been experiencing ABS problems on the Rushmore bikes with linked ABS when installing larger front wheels, due to the fact that the system is set up to expect a particular speed differential front to rear based on the stock wheel and tire sizes.  It wasn't a problem on the older non-linked systems, because each wheel was controlled independently.  Normally when larger rims are used a lower profile tire is also used, and the resulting overall diameter remains very close to stock.  I know some people running 21 inch fronts have reported no ABS issues when they use a particular front tire, but I've not seen anyone claim success running anything larger.  The person around here who can probably give you the best advice on this subject is Puzzled.

I don't endorse ThunderMax products, but I can offer this link to a product that claims to fix the problem.  I have no idea if it's any good or if it actually does all they claim, so take this with a grain of salt.
