Youze are all REAL good at this chit! I'll be getting a new Verizon phone for my new job very shortl. The company is on Verizon, and they want me to have a smart phone now. This'll be a first for me. And youze know how computer challenged I can be. Looking at the Blackberry Storm2 (9550, I believe) and the Motorola Droid! Any others to consider? Are these the 2 best Verizon offers? If so, which of these 2 should I pick up? Thanks gang!!!

 I have the BB Curve 8330 and really like it.  But, that's just because it's all I know/have used.  Uses a querty keyboard as opposed to the newer 'touch-screen' that all are going with now.  That's it from the 'ole guy', now let's hear the real deal from the youngsters. ;D  har!  spyder

A friend just picked up the droid and loves it. I had the original Storm last year and it had some software issues. I would think that should be worked out with the Storm2, but you never know. Here is a good source of info from the really addicted folks. http://forums.crackberry.com/

Kind of like this place for blackberry owners.

New number coming too I guess? The old one was soooo easy....

most smart phones have their own quirks, but once you learn how to use any specific model you'll do fine with it. what are your new co-workers using?

Thanks, I have to check that still Neal. The Co. might have BBerry software, and that would limit me to a BBery. If that's the case, the BBS2 is a no-brainer. I'm just trying to determine if those 2 phones are the chits of Verizon PDA's these days. and which phone is THE BEST one for me! ;)

I found these 2 from Verizon also. They're both from HTC, the Touch Pro2 and the Imagio. They both use MS Windows software. That might be of some advantage, no? MS Windows, Droid, BB? Does the OS matter at all? :-\

Hoist, The BB seems to be a good choice, good for business apps, I have a 8330 Curve with qwerty, which I love! I am not a fan of the touch screen, to each his own,,,,,kinda like mufflers!!

My kids have Droid OS phones. That uses Google apps. It's Google, BlackBerry, or MS it seems. They like it, but think they'd rather be on Windows OS phone, and like those 2 HTC phones I just mentioned earlier! But WTF do I know? I prolly don't really even care, as long as it's easy enough to use (and doesn't lock up) so I don't want to throw it out the freakin window out of frustration!!! ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Check with work and see what they want you to have.  Blackberry's are very business oriented.  The Droid is an excellent new smartphone but most business can't communicate with Android based phones.  To bad the iPhone isn't available on Verizon.  The best of both worlds! :pepper:
