Holes in fairing after installing Klock Werks windscreen
« on: April 17, 2013, 10:03:25 AM »

After taking off the rubber gasket and installing the Klock Werks windscreen I have two holds in the corners where the gasket cover the holds before. What can I do to cover the holes so they don't leak

On my '09, the 8" Klockwerks  worked much better with the stock gasket left on. Did your directions tell you to remove it? You might consider putting your gasket back on.

On my 2012, left the stock gasket on the 8" Klockwerks as well... no reason not to use it that I can see.

The hole did not line up right, hard to get with the thick gasket. Talk to the shop that works on my bike and they ordered me a gasket for the 2008 which is thinner. Will try it when it gets in.

You have to massage the gasket a bit to line up with the screen. It can be a pain in the ass. I went through the same thing with a Windvest screen till I got it lined up.

I have a klockwerks on my 2012.the secret is to buy a rubber gasket that is from a earlier year and use that.the fat rubber gasket that comes with the 2012 windshield will not fit.
