Thinking of selling my 2010 1/2 Thoughts on Pricing?
« on: September 26, 2014, 10:46:52 PM »

I am being transferred to Italy.  I am seriously thinking of selling my 2010 1/2 CVO Crimson Black.  From what I can tell, 25K to 27K seems to be the average asking price.  Would you all agree?

Joe,

1. The 2010.5 Crimson Black is the best looking Ultra Harley has produced in a long time. It is a bike that attracts a lot of attention. How do I know? I own one.
2. This was a limited edition bike with only 999 made.
3. The Garmin Zumo Roadtech 660 nav unit delivered with this bike is far superior to the latest Harley infotainment Rushmore-but-works-less system.

I do not think that your numbers are out of line for a mint condition, low mileage bike and a motivated buyer.

For comparison, a local one was up for sale at $24995.  25K miles, needed tires, had pipes and Tune, minimal dings.  It all depends how "motivated" the buyer is.  Definitely a sharp bike!  Good luck!

My opinion is that you need to be closer to $20K to sell it private.

I am contemplating selling my CVO Limited 2014 and realistically I will get $27 - $29K at best.

It's a toy. There are plenty of motivated sellers but not so many (or any) motivated buyers.

Joe,

Here's one on eBay.  He had a bid of around $22,000 previously but didn't meet reserve so he's trying again

One of only a handful of color combo's that still give me chicken skin when I look at it.  I had that bike as my desktop background for a couple of years....absolutely beautiful.  Is there anyway you could ship it to Italy with you?  Wouldn't that be a great bike to ride around that country.....I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about that possibility....

As for your pricing, looking up local and national information, you are right in the ballpark with that range.  Reality is it will probably get closer to the lower to mid $20s (which is still within or close to your range).  Wish I had the spare money as it would have a home right now.

One other thing....have you got a good buddy that could take care of it for you while you are out of country?  Just something to consider without parting with her.

This was my desktop pic...
