2002 road king CVO bar size.

Hey guys. have a 2002 road king CVO. I assume bars are 1.25". Looking to get 10". Is the neck 1" and I need an adapter? Or are they 1.25" all the way? Does the adapter affect rideability? Bars moving and such?
