M8 Reliability

Looking for something lighter than my '05 SEEG and I stumbled upon the HD Sport Glide.  Looking at the range between 2017 and 2020 and they all come with the 107" M8 motor.  Looking to hear from those who have (or had) one of these motors to learn about reliability, issues and suggested modifications.  I know lifters have been an issue in the later Twin Cams but I really don't know much about the M8.  Not looking to anything major, probably just exhaust and intake as well as any tuning options.

Thanks in advance!

HOGMIKE:
I’ve only had 2 m8’s
My 2017 was a lemon from the start, my 2019 has the stock bottom end and heads with 99k miles and still running fine.
This was after the 124 kit I installed at 20k miles. Low 140’s HP and TQ when we finished the tune.
I don’t baby this bike and it’s a good engine.

It took HD half way through 19' to get the oil pump right and I forget when they added the vent on the primary, then the recall on the clutch slave cylinder.  Myself I broke my motor in gently, drilled out the breather and run 20w60 1/8 down on the stick no problems so far 25k but will update the pump when I get around to doing the motor.  Installed the breather kit and was pissed that I have to pay $50 to fix the known transfer problem.  On borrowed time on clutch issue, works fine for now.

So, 2019 or later would be my best bet?  Found several with under 5K miles for 10K - 12K.  Looks like something worth looking into further.

They upgraded the oil pump assembly in May of 2019.
