The Long Ride....

JCZ:
I turned 74 last month.  I left home yesterday morning at midnight and rode 872.4 miles non-stop other than gas, to Jim's (HD-dude) shop, Metal Dragon for the 90k mile service.  13 1/2 hours in the saddle and it wore me out but this ol' man's still got it when I need it.  I've always said use it or you loose it.

Having said all of that let me just say that I'll not be riding back home just as fast.  As a matter of fact, I left Jim's shop this evening an only made it 176 miles before I had to get a hotel.

Love this motorcycle.  I've said it before, more than once, it's the most reliable Harley that I've ever owned.

Congrats! Long time no talk. Glad you did that trip, we are same age and understand, did 700 in rain & cold in May and it kicked butt.
Sometimes we have to prove to ourselves "still got it" no matter what the cost!! :)
Ride safe

It was a turn around ride.  Didn't get to see anybody.    I left there yesterday.  Spent last night in Kettleman City.  I stopped in Blythe this afternoon, it's 108F!  I"ll be leaving here about 3 a.m.  It'll still be 100F but at least the sun will not be out.  I should be home around 8 a.m.
