Stereo for 2004 FLHTCSE
TonyO77:
Anyone have suggestions for a good complete stereo setup ?
I still run the factory SE radio and Hawg Wired speakers and at highway speeds or high volume it has really poor sound quality and if I add much bass it sounds like the speakers are gonna pop.
Looking to do a complete swap, head unit, amp and possibly speakers if necessary.
I have had the bike since 08 and had to replace the factory unit twice because the internal amp has gone bad.
Suggestions appreciated.
SIKBIRD:
I run the following in my SEEG
Sony DSX - M80 (marine head unit) you can customize the LED color to match your dash lights
4- 6.5” Alpine Type R (replaced the glove boxes with speaker pods)
Soundstream PN4.520D 1040W 4 Ch Class D Picasso Series Car Compact Amplifier
Get you a Schoshe steering wheel control so all your thumb controls on your handlebars will work
*no representation is made that the quality of my stereo system is greater than any other system…it’s simply what I have and I am very pleased with it (this statement is for the audiophiles that’ll be along shortly to tell us much better their system is 😂)
TonyO77:
Would you happen to have the part number for the Schocse?
I don’t see anything on their website
SIKBIRD:
Scosche LAI10 Link Interface Harness with Steering Wheel Control Retention
I believe this is the one I bought. Can’t remember if I got it on eBay or Amazon.
TonyO77:
Can an amp be added to the stock system?
I read somewhere that it would not work
