Hello everyone.I am new to the CVO springer as I just purchased one....the blue and silver and so far I am enjoying it.I have noticed some 09s have a tach.Did some come from factory ;like that ot is it an add on? Thanks

Didn't have a tach as standard equipment.  There were parts in the P&A catalog to add one.  Take a look at the following thread.  Might be beneficial.

Considered a tach when I first bought my 09 but doing fine w/o it, but I like the old school looks of the 07-08 tach that the link refers to, either way get the 07-08 riser studs.

Other alternative is the combo speedo/tach available for the FXSTSSE3, especially if you want to keep the handlebars clear or for other things.

Congratulations on a beautiful bike, I have a green 2009. You don't need a tach. Keep it clean and uncluttered. You should be able to tell when to shift based on your ears.

I went for the combo speedo/tach on my Green FXSTSSE3. Very happy with it and also allows me to put a screen on when I want to do a bit of touring
