Center Stand rubbing on exhaust?
« on: April 01, 2010, 11:13:01 AM »

Does anybody with a centerstand have a problem with rubbing on the exhaust (and the associated irritating squeaking? I have V&H true duals, and it appears that the center stand peg (for lack of a better word) rubs up against the chrome heat shield.  I like having the center stand as the bike requires less room in the garage, but the noise while riding is intolerable.

Are you able to (cut) shortin the peg?

Had a friend cut his, it's less area to kick the peg down, maybe you are willing to deal with it.

just saying, that's what he did  :2vrolijk_21:

No...it's not the peg...it's the feet.  Looks like the V&H must sit 1/2" or so forward of the stock exhaust.  Will have to take a peek under a bike the next time I'm at a dealer.
