Rear License Please Bracket Removal Help Please

Hi All.

Recently traded up from a 2018 Tri Glide to a 2021 CVO Tri Glide.

My 2018 had a chrome Kuryakyn license plate bracket that I installed.  Wasn't too hard as I recall.   I am wanting to swap that over to the CVO but having trouble removing the lower part of the bracket (The section that has the wide horizontal reflector - that I also want to remove)…    There are 3 Torx screws that hold that bracket on.     Do I simply remove the torx screws.?  Or do I have to disassemble the rear door hatch and remove the plastic cover/housing..?

Attaching a picture:  Number 4 shows the 3 torx screws, however its not clear where they screw in to..  assuming the holes in number 18 might be threaded..
