Orange County Harley Davidson Irvine CA Closed

(1/1)

vtwinjim:
My local dealer just closed its doors.

Orange County Harley Davidson in Irvine CA closed on Feb 28th.
When this dealer was in Santa Ana 20 plus years ago they used to do work for Harley.

They were part of the Wise Riders group which owns 6 other dealerships.

This is the third dealership closing in southern CA that I know of in the last few years.
Wonder what the total closed dealership count is for the last few years?

Landshark:
I believe more and more dealers will close in the coming months and years.  Too many dealers and bikes and not enough customers who want a new Harley or a even used ones. I have more than I need so a new motorcycle of any kind is not in the cards. I know others who feel the same way. I hope Harley can right the ship and deal with the over supply.

JCZ:
Ride Now owns the Indian, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, side x side and the two Harley dealerships here in Tucson.  In the past six weeks they closed up the stand along Indian dealership and moved them over to the store that has all the other brands and side x sides.  Closed Old Pueblo Harley next door to Ride now and merged it with Tucson HD out on I-10.

Interestingly, they changed the name of Tucson Harley Davidson to Saguaro Harley Davidson about 4 months ago but with this merger of the two dealerships they changed it back to Tucson HD.  Ride Now also owns the Harley t-shirt shop in Tombstone.

Were they "Consolidated" into another dealership?  That's what happened out here, Rocklin HD was "Absorbed" by Folsom HD.
