I like the look, does it require adding the 4 point kit, or can u use the 2 point that comes with the bike?

Here is a pic of my new SERG that was purchased 3 weeks ago in Oregon.

Jonny Mac, what dealership in Oregon did you purchase your SERG from? Also, did you keep the bike in Oregon or do you live elsewhere?

Any one running the tour pak in the solo position?  Does that require the 4 point mounting kit or the 2 point?

I am pretty sure you would have to have a solo seat to run it in the solo position.

You would no doubt need a solo seat to mount the tour pack in the solo position.  The stock seat will not work with it.

I doubt it will work with the stock mounts for the sissybar.  I have the two-up mount and it isn't even close.

You know, IMO, the leather tour pack looks great on a nostalgic looking bike, such as a RK Classic or Heritage.  The SERG is a slik streamline bagger, I'm not sure the big buckles and such will go well.   :nixweiss:

There's a huckleberry with one on it right behind me, I hear it is big enough to carry a full face helmet. :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

You dont have to purchase the other mounting kit, this should help you out.  I found it today.  Is anyone installing the tp themselves.  I'm just a little bit eary of drilling holes in something I paid 1100 for!!!

None of those are "09" part numbers. They won't work on an "09" SERG.

I'm running two-up and had to buy the docking hardware kit for mine (54205-09).  Knowing moco, you probably have to buy something to get the solo pack to work.  One more way to extract money out of us.  FYI, we had to remove my OEM bracket to install the docking hardware.  My sissybar will work with the new one, but the tour pack would not mount without it.  Looking at the tour pack mount, it doesn't look like it will line up with the old one in any position.

but what about mounting it to the correct mounting bracket, it requires you to drill and I'm skepticle of doing it myself.  I can drill, don't get me wrong, but I dont wast to "f" something up. :nixweiss:

Yea, sure would be a costly mistake if you drill it wrong.  I had a dealer install it for me.  Figure if they screw it up, they can buy me a new one.  I'm sure I could have done it, but it wasn't worth the hassle.  I had them prep it then rode the bike to them.  They installed it while I waited.  It took them 2 hours to set it up.  It is not as easy as one would think.

Drilling is a no brainer.  The bottom of the tour pack has a metal plate with 4 holes in it.  Point the drill bit at the holes and drill through.  On the outside, put some masking tape and that will stop it from chipping.  I've drilled through my 06 pack when installing speakers and a top rack and it was a piece of cake!
