Just got back from dinner out and a ride with the BSR.  She says she can hear the music better and buffeting is minimal.  We scooted up to 90 without any sunglass blurring or severe head buffeting.

The bubble seems to defuse the turbulence and since its shaped like a wedge, the wind gets deflected to either side.  On that note, the wind noise is not bad.  We don't wear ear plugs and have open 3/4 helmets.  I even took a ride with my HD Jet with the visor that gets the worst buffeting and had no problem.

The shield is a little on the this side and will bounce from time to time but its not at all that distracting.

The tint is perfect.  Darker than the CV Stock height and lighter than the CB 14" Dark...perfect!

This will be my shield from now-on.

Here is a profile of all three shields so you can see the difference...Kury first

Did you take any measurements on the vertical height of each shield from the top of the tach to the top of the shield?  If not, could you measure that on the Kuryakyn and post back so we'll have some idea of how it compares to any other shield we might have tried?  For example, my CB 15" measured 12.5" straight up from the top of the tach and was way too short for me.

Thanks for posting the pics of the 3 shields. You Hopefully, have saved some SERG owners alot of times and money and frustration. I did whole gammut myself. stock bug deflector is stupid ugly, sorry Klaus, JMO. KW is cool beyond function. CB IMO was rushed through testing and offers me not much more than the KW. When I found the CV, I was happy, as you are with your KURY.
Only thing that matters is how we like the way they ride, and how much cool we get. For Me the CV rides outstanding and what it lacks in cool I make up for with attitude :klingon:
Me and my Posse, thats cool, I got a posse, rode to land between the lakes yesterday, 350 miles. I LOVE MY SERG just as it now is. Im pretty Fly....for a white guy.  :2vrolijk_21:

61bbltop, thanks for all the pic's! Love the look with the leather tourpak. :2vrolijk_21:

I'm glad you let everyone know about the BSR, that is a major factor in my next shield. I have the KW 12" and the BSR said she would not go out of town with that shield.

I see you are 5'11", are you looking over or through the shield?
I'm with skippy49 can you help us out a little more with the height from all three shields?

Thanks again 61bbltop!

The measurement from the speedo/tach housing turn signal neutral indicator is 14".  The measurement from the center (6 O'Clock) screw to 12 O'Clock is 20".

The CV is 13" from speedo/tach and 17" 6 to 12 O'Clock.

Rode again today and it performed perfectly.  I can even raise myself up in the saddle more and find no real buffeting...you can hear and feel it above my helmet but it's very weak because of the diffusion from the bubble.  Cooool :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Klaus, if you give this one a chance out on the autoban, you'll find it will work for your tall riding position.  I believe this one is the answer for anyone 6' and over.  If you're shorter than that, you'll need a little boost in the seat.  I see over it fine at 5' 11" and one inch higher in the seat with the HD Tallboy seat.

I believe that the Küry-airmaster does a good job against buffetting but it seems to come damn near the face ( because of the lean angle , it`s leaning back ) and i guess that i do not want to have the shield such near at my face , thanks for the report .  :2vrolijk_21:

A couple questions:

1)  Do you look over or through the new windshield?

2)  Did you try a CV that was same height as your new windshield?

Thanks!

Thanks!

1) I look over it by 3-4 inches.  I can easily duck down behind it too if desired.

2) My CV in the above pic is their "Stock Height" which measures 13" vs 14" on the Kury.  Since the Kury comes back at a steeper angle, it is actually about the same as looking above my CV but the CV is further forward by about 3 to 4 inches.

The only fault I can find with it is that its not as thick as I'd like.  It doesn't come with any inner seal or hardware.  I used those off my CV.  I'll need to go to Home Depot or Lowes to buy more inner seal foam.

Good job!  (1) What is the main problem with the fit?  (2) Can you see any way of making it fit with the OEM gasket?

Thanks again for your report.  I also have the CB14 and don't want it on the Interstate.  I really like the looks of yours!
