Been riding for 29 years on the road. Back in 2000 went to sturgis and saw a SE road glide. Way out of my price range but recently found one. Headed down to pick it up next weekend.

Almost exactly 10 years ago I scored my triple red original SERG after having wanted one since seeing (only) one when they were new. Your search took even longer than mine! Well done and hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine :2vrolijk_21: .

Congrats on your find (this was the bike that got me interested in the CVO line too) and welcome to the site.

Just saw this 2000 SERG on Craigslist if anyone is interested. I do not know anything about the bike - just browsing and saw the listing.

Wow, almost 20 years old and less than 13,000 miles. Someone didn't exercise the "touring" option for their touring bike.

Looking for something similar......can get collector plates and insurance on it here in BC......makes keeping a bike insured all year economically feasible . Good find and congrats!

Are they provincial standards for you or Federal? Here it can vary state to state. In my state the minimum age is 25 years before a vehicle can qualify for a permanently registered (i.e., no yearly license plate costs) plates. Even my old sh*t isn't that old!

Provincial......still yearly, but MUCH cheaper than the '12. 20 years old here.....and has to be virtually stock....some 'period correct' mods are ok though.
