Fuel Moto has them in stainless

www.fuelmotousa.com
I'm going to look at their product next week. Nice thing is,... Lifetime warranty.
I had a headpipe from Fullsac break at the weld while on a trip last summer. Not a happy camper

I spoke with them a little over a week ago. A stainless version is in the works. Possibly available very soon.

Nice looking pipe, there have been some minor changes from the last generation x pipe,
Minor brackets and gussets all worked out for a smooth easy install.
you know he won't release product until it's "right"!
Sure is light weight vs my old steel x pipe!

Steve: I'm sure liking my new mufflers!  8)

I believe it was the sport pipe. Sent them an email and picture of the broken pipe and never got as much as a sorry.

I put about 85000 miles on a Fullsac Xpipe between two bikes, and it's still on the last bike I sold. I've sold and installed about 30+ some odd xpipes and sportpipes. Never had issue. But you know parts do fail from time to time. Stress and metal fatigue do happen.

Got a couple sport pipes on members bikes here, they ride hard but no issues.
It would be interesting to know WHERE it broke, as the pipe is OEM Harley with the center section replaced.

IME, especially with OEM head pipes (pre-09) cracks usually develop due to strain on the mounting.
Not to say there may have been an issue with quality control, but IMO that would be a long shot knowing how detail oriented Fullsac is.
They are usually pretty good returning phone calls, it may take a day or two, but, I've always received a call back.

Reason I asked if it was a DX was I believe those are designed very well, welds looked excellent.  Crack in the Sport pipe could have occurred if the system was stressed on installation.  For example Supermegs require a sequence for torqueing fasteners.

No stress on this pipe.. it was moved back into place with one finger. I found a weld shop the next day and they welded the pipe back together without taking it off the bike... Better than new!

I got the same (non) response when I had a problem with FS map.  At least you didn't call and get told to pack sand.

I thought I was the only one that got that response. Had an issue with the TTS on my 09 CVO years back. I realize they are a big supporter of this sight and a lot of people use and like their products, but I guess their not for everyone.

I'll let everyone know how the Fuel Moto works out.

Sounds like maybe one of the brackets may have been loose?
I think the clamp at the back of the oil pan "locates" and supports the rear part of the header, no?

It's nice to have options right?
I know there are 2 sides to every story, and I have heard a few.
I have also been in business before and have had customers with issues. Try to resolve them in an equitable manner but sometimes even that doesn't work. This is the time to let the customer try something else, no harm, no foul.
Options, right?
I have had VERY  positive customer support from various companies, S&S, Fullsac, TTS among others. I also read here there are people who have had negative support from the same........options.........
Time to move on and try the NEXT company.

Ordered mine today along with the TTS. All I can say is if the pipe and map work as well as Steve and Cammy provided service today, I will be ecstatic. I really appreciate good service. It is unfortunately hard to get anymore. Steve immediately answered my email and questions (expertly.) Cammy immediately handled my order. From start to finish it took about an hour and I had a UPS tracking email. FAST! When I got home from the office I had an additional email from Steve with a custom map and a PDF manual for the TTS!

Thanks Steve and Cammy!

BTW. The pictures of the pipe look cool. It reminds me of the "expansion chamber" pipes I used to get custom made for my early 2-stroke MX racing bikes!

Steve,
Thanks for the offer but we've moved on. With the tuning issue on my 09 Ultra, someone sending the wrong pipe from your shop for my 12' Streetglide and then the pipe breaking, I figured 3 times and out. But thank you again for the offer.

My DX Stainless Headpipe, TTS, and 21/4'' baffles are scheduled for delivery for tomorrow. The down load for the tuner is in my email waiting to be installed. I am comfortable with this business and look forward to installing the new equipment. Cammy was informative and very helpful with making my decision on what to use in my system. Hope this helps.

Wow.

I've dealt with Steve and Cammy from Fullsac three separate times for my SERG3 as I did gradual upgrades and last month for my '15 RGU.  Each time, the products, advice and customer service were perfect!  Even once, recently, when my ultimate problem had nothing to do with their product, they were most patient and helpful.  See here:  Re: 2015 RGU: I'm Blue... So Blue...   As you can see from that thread, I've installed two Fullsac headers in the last month, a stainless DX which was beautiful and a ceramic coated DX.  I also did four mufflers with 1.75" baffles and screens.  Over the years, I've installed three sets of Fullsac headers and five sets of baffles.  I'm sure many of you have far more experience than I, however.  All of the products were perfect.

To answer the op, the DX pipes were perfect in quality and fit.  You'll love it.

To those hurling public insults above, is it not rather obvious that you only insult yourself?   :huepfenlol2:   :huepfenlol2:   And yes, you did a great job.   :2vrolijk_21:

I ordered the regular FullSac DX head pipe (along with 2.25 cores & CVO sleeves) at Christmas but do to health issues wasn't able to install them. At the time I ordered them I battled myself about going with the  FuelMoto SS head pipe (I did choose the PowerVision and ordered it over the TTS) but picked the FullSac DX head pipe and other items as I said. This past Friday (3/6/15) I noticed FullSac had released their SS DX head pipe. Out of curiosity I contacted FullSac about any exchange options I might have.  My new FullSac SS DX head pipe was shipped out today 3/12/15. Best of all worlds now IMO!  :jalapeno:
