never thought you'd part ways with the SEEG. did the break down influence you or was that the SEEG's way of saying good bye due to the new purchase?
Brian you picked the best color for sure.
Brian you picked the best color for sure.
.... I'm real excited about picking it up in a week or two and look forward to doing a few mods, just gonna try not to get as carried away as with the SEEG!....
You're gonna want a new headlight :P
I'll take that hog tunes amp and the speakers. Are you letting those go with the bike?
Traitor (or should that be "Trader")!!!!! :sauer005: :sauer024: :sauer052: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:
Seriously though... Congrats!!!! You couldn't have picked a better color combination and it will blend in well w/your SERG. If you had to give up your SEEG I can't be mad at you with the color you picked for the new bike. :2vrolijk_21: Enjoy the new bike and all the mods to come... you didn't really think we were going to believe this did you??:huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Congratulations, Brian! :2vrolijk_21:
My seller's remorse usually only lasts for an instant. As soon as the old ride's out of site, and the new ride is in my possession, it's over.
And let the new mods begin! :drink:
Actually, there's only one former bike that I occaisonally miss...my '04 O/B SEEG. I think it's the best looking bike I've ever owned, and it never gave me a bit of trouble.
Not to get the cart too far ahead of the horse, but I know you well enough that I'm certain you've given this at least SOME thought ;) What exhaust and tuner are you going with? I'll leave it alone at asking that...even though I know you've thought about suspension as well
110thunder sounds sweet !!! :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:
Today the SEEG went on its last ride. It returned back to the dealer where I bought her new. It's a bittersweet day in some respects. The SEEG was a great bike for 39,000 miles, many of those spent with the great folks from this site at various get-togethers and even cross-country trips. But, I felt the time had come to do something different.
Something different is a brand new SEUC in orange and black! I'm real excited about picking it up in a week or two and look forward to doing a few mods, just gonna try not to get as carried away as with the SEEG! More pics from the better camera when I get home!

I didn't think it quite had the same ring to it, but who knows?! All suggestions considered! :P
Oh Noooooo, mr. bill.....say it ain't so. My ole '04 huckleberry partner from the early days......gone to who knows where? Congrats on the nice up-to-date scooter tho, really.. :2vrolijk_21: :balloon:  :balloon2: :2vrolijk_20: :juggle: :2vrolijk_09:..according to all that have make the more up, you'll love it (esp. with your taller legs) I still can't believe that Terry enjoys that taller ride. One of my 1st thoughts when looking at the pic of the new ride was: wonder if they let him switch out the LED's and then in a later post saw that you did. Good going. They're great lights aren't they? Who'll get your B/B? Hope it's someone special, 'cause that was a choice scooter the way you'd set it up. I'll be standing by like the others waiting for your attention to this one to begin. And now 2LnRider's gonna split with his SEEG also.....ohhhhhh, no mr. bill........say it ain't so. Who's next? D00d? Stu? Ohhhhh nooooooo. spyder

Your just gettinold Brian admit!
I think you're right, Terry. It took me a long, long time to warm up to these new ones, but I'm there now. There will never, ever be a prettier bike than the B/B SEEG, IMO, but I hear what you're saying about the new ones being a more enjoyable ride.
I'll tell you what, it's a damn lot taller than the SEEG, though! Feels like a heckuva lot more than an inch, too! But the extra ground clearance in the curves will be welcome!
Jerry, I blame JR for this, too! He should be a Harley salesman instead of wrenchin' on them big, yella machines! :o ::) :PI kinda figured that our friend JR had something to do with this, lol ;D His enthusiasm is contagious and I see you caught a double dose of it. In any case a good move and one I know you will not regret. :2vrolijk_21:
That's a matter of opinion! ::) :P :DJR, we know you bleed yellow. :2vrolijk_21: For you the yellowjacket is the perfect color. :2vrolijk_21:

Spyder,Yeah, Bill, some you just have to keep ! ;D har. spyder
I remember back at the 2005 MV (Soggy Valley) event, You, Brian and I had the Blue/Blacks SEEGs and they were by far the best bikes and colors there! :huepfenjump3: I jumped ship a long time ago selling mine in 2006 to my Brother in Law. That leaves you Spyder as the lone B/B from that event....you are the Cheese!
Congrats Brian on the new Scoot!.
/Bill
But I still have my 03 SED (My first CVO) which just turned over 10K the past couple of weeks. I have no plans to let it go now or in the foreseeable future.
Yeah, Bill, some you just have to keep ! ;D har. spyder
I like this one the best! ::)
Congrats on the new scoot Brian. I'm halfway thru year 7 of owning my SERK. And I must say I still love riding it. Dont think I will ever part ways with it.I sure hope not Q.....no reason to....it's a 'keeper' for sure. :-* :drink: spyder

10+ yrs on my SERK and i feel the same way, but as the miles add up i start to wonder when it might make sense to part ways and start over :nervous:

Everyone needs a 110. :P
maybe once i have "110"k on the SERK i'll think about it;)
Brian with his SEEG and me with mine. JR's banana. It can happen even to tge best of the breeds. They're bikes not collectibles. At some point we feel like moving them along.
Gotta try out the Harley cartridges, first! Heck, I probably won't know what to think just having the extra inch of travel on this bike. I'm hoping I'll be good to go up front.
Congrats on the new ride! Let me when you're heading to Traxxion and I'll meet you there (don't tell me that ain't goin' to happen!).
:2vrolijk_21:
Cut that out. You know we all have our opinions here. We're just trying to help. ;)
Brian
I've been away for awhile but I thought we had a deal on the SEEG. I have the $150.00 in hand....WTF!
Congrats on the new scoot! Hope she's all you want. Wallet Bros took care of you? Very uncharacteristic.
JW
Congrats but Who the duck is getting the B&B! Dagnabbit...!
I left my 09 stock, after getting used to diving front ends, crashing rear shocks and wobulating brakes...You get used to it..
Ride on in good health!
Damnnn Brian first you were unloading your SEEG then Twolane. I have had thoughts about unloading OLE PUNKIN since I do have an ultra. I have not been on the bike in almost a year. Took the battery out and drained the gas. If I do keep her I guess at least I should unload the NEW King Tour Pak that had never been used. I bought a choped tour pak and run it all of the time.Say it ain't so... get them thoughts out your mind!!! :shocked2:
DECISIONS DECISIONS!!!!
Oh and BTW congrats on the new ride. She is sweet looking.
Be Safe

Sorry, don't know why those first three at the dealer are sooooo blurry! Stupid iPhone! :sauer055:

It's kinda funny just how similar the paint schemes are!
They really look great together...

Ummmm.... wrong answer.... The Daily Double is in the touring family so to continue that theme the Trifecta would also have to remain in the touring family. ;) :D
Yeah! A 2006 V-Rod! :2vrolijk_21: :huepfenlol2: ;)
The Vrod would be a nice addition, and a totally different ride experience. :2vrolijk_21:
Right answer! ;) :D
Right answer! ;) :D
Right answer! ;) :D
Maybe. But..... Different ride experience and different ride. What about a cool old FXR?
I still miss my Vrod...actually more than I do the SEUC. With good suspension under it, that bike was a blast to ride. If you get the need for speed, those bikes will satisfy quickly and are a fun ride for around town and day rides. And, IMO, they were one of the best looking SE/CVO bikes ever produced, with the Eagle head and lots and lots of chrome.
I've always had a soft spot for those fat tire '06s. I agree, they really got those bikes right. And if it wasn't chrome, it was color-matched powder coat. There was some nice attention to detail on those hot rods.
Congratulations Brian. I'm a big fan of black & orange!Thought you where gonna pull the trigger on one of these lovely ladies AJ!
Hey Brian. Got any fishing line and some goo gone? I see fork reflectors. :o. Mine are laying in the drawer. :P my forks never looked better too.
I'm likin' it a lot, already! I think they shoulda named it the "Screamin' Eagle TALL Glide" and man, she sure makes a racket goin' into first, but what a sweet ride! The 110" has some pretty decent power stock, too. I swear I feel it loosening up with every mile. Overall, I'm pretty glad I made the switch and the things I still like better about the SEEG I think can be changed with a few $$$s.
Well, I went straight from the SEEG to yours, so I was expecting it to be taller than that bike. Compared to my SEUC, I'm not sure. Let's meet up for some throwed rolls and then I can tell ya for sure. ;) I am enjoying the ground clearance quite a bit, so I expect I'll get used to the added height over time. You can sure tell the center of gravity is quite a bit higher on this bad boy, though. :nervous:
ooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh ???
You can come, too! :2vrolijk_21:

Not sure how many dealers are still doing something like this, but this came in the mail the other day and I thought it was pretty cool. They used to just use a folding cardboard-type display deal that could go on a desktop or shelf, but this new frame has a lot more class and will look good hanging on the wall in my Harley-themed theater!
Exactly!!! :2vrolijk_21:
....
Sorry, Stu, the reflectors remain. I'm thinking the more people that take them off, they will be considered a mod. :huepfenlol2:
Nice, Brian. Those rear board extenders look familiar... :-X :'(
Beautiful bike Brian.
I like the adds.
It is so amazing to me that we buy a $40K bike and then we spend another $5K on it.
But as they say, it's only money.
Question, the pic that shows the floorboard extensions shows the oil cooler.
Did you take off the chrome cover or is it just the angle of the pictures?
I assume you have that new tag on order?
I think your going to make JR spend more money on his.
:2vrolijk_21:
SBB
More pics when it arrives. :)
Congrats on the new scoot! Lots of luck limiting the mods. You might want to check into a 12 step program.
Wow, just found this thread, never thought you give up the best looking CVO model!
Good luck and many happy miles with the new one - and it is a better match to the RG :2vrolijk_21:
Thanks, Duane.
And it's an even better match now that the plate finally arrived! :huepfenjump3:

Question,
The tail light on the SERG looks to be the LED one.
The 12 doesn't?

Hey Brian,,, I knew I would wear you down. :D. Looks soooo nice,, I watch this thread whenever it pop up and I gotta say how nice your bike has turned out. Enjoy and I really think you should ride it to Maggie Valley next month so we can all check it out. Those forks really look nice now. Jusss sayin' :2vrolijk_21:Agree with Stu, soooo much better. :2vrolijk_21: har. :drink: spyder
they look great..... pulling the wires through was the main reason i let the dealer do it.. Best 4 hrs labor I ever spent,, :2vrolijk_21: I didnt have to do it... :D
