How much space does the tour pack lid organizer take up?  I have been thinking about it.  I just really worried about loosing luggage space.

The stock liner takes up but a quarter of an inch. The organizer does not take up much more than that, depending upon what you put in it!  The one I put in my '09 sure was handy to have, though.

First service today (520 miles, included with purchase) as I'm leaving for Tombstone, AZ, tomorrow.  I figured better early than late.  No serious issues,  but Speed Volume Control still turns off each time with the bike and has to be reset after each start.

I installed Kuryakyn LED signals front and rear.  The Canbus system is supposed to learn to cope and has but the indicators in the instruments flash double speed.  The signals themselves flash normally.  The red security light is also coming on while riding.  I may have to install load equalizers.  Edit:  Turns out the Kuryakyn instructions on line contain the fix.  Simply start bike and run Hazzard lights for 20 seconds or so.  Repeat if necessary.

Here's my old Tour Pak Organizer sewn onto the top liner.  Had to clean up the install as shown in the picture but with some extra velcro, it works perfectly.

400 miles home today from Phoenix Arizona. This bike is very comfortable. 1500 mile trip and never needed the backrest. There are still a couple of glitches with the infotainment center but I'm sure that will get worked out.  I think suspension upgrade will be the first major modification. I enjoyed the Progressives in the front of my 2009 and may have to repeat that unless I can do better.  She's now had her first two and a half hour bath and detail.

So what do you think about the stock shield after that trip? Is it a keeper? How tall are you?

I thought the stock shield was perfect up to 90 miles an hour.  5'11", 32" inseam. I did get one rock chip in the windshield on this trip. That would be a good excuse to install a Cee Bailey's but only because I would like one tinted.

Only real irritant is the rear brake pedal which is too damn close.

Sweet looking ride and a great end to a scary episode. Love the mods you've done so far. Congrats and ride safe.

As for functionality, I really like the stock shield.  It had very good wind control.  It was as good as my previous two CVO road glides after much trial an error with aftermarket shields.  Ran  a Cee Baily on the Skunk, and a Clearview on the 09 SERG.

Main reason I switched was for looks.  Had I not been able to test the sheild first, I would not have changed.  I went to the Klock werks sport in dark tint.  My wife demoed it in Daytona and bought it.  So I put it on my bike one day she was not riding, put 250 mile demo on it.  It was as good as stock for me.  But the looks were much better so I bought my own.

Never thought you would give up the yellow.

Great to hear no injuries and good luck with the new bike.

What? No brake rotor bolts?  :P

Is that a complete kit? Got a link to it?

The rotor bolts do come in a separate kit but they would stick out as the rotors are not polished.

It's a complete motor kit.  Best price I could find was at J&P Cycles:  Gardner Westcott Polished Builders Fastener Kit for FLT
