Remember to get Blue Locktite.
Check!  And red... check!  And two torque wrenches.

Greg,  That is one sharp looking ride.  You have some great mods going on there.  I was thinking I'm all set to go with a CVO... now you have me thinking...

Anthony,

I spent a couple of hours installing polished chrome bolts today. Lots of fun!  NOT!  But it looks great.  Can do more when I get the header pipe off.

Ordered two Fullsac Stage 1 kits, today.  (Ceramic coated DX headpipes,  1.75" baffles & sleeves, TTS w/ cables and maps.)  Kerry /treeman and I will be installing next weekend.

The Fullsac setup is a good choice, installed it on mine the day I got the bike, only difference is I went with the 2.25 baffles.

Looks great Greg! Looking forward to your report on the fullsac.

I put some slip on mufflers on mine (V&H) right after I bought it (actually Chip did, thanks again Chip!) and I noticed last weekend on a ride while my foot is up on the highway peg I could feel a lot of heat blowing out the side of the right lower and making my ankle area a bit uncomfortable.

I'm pretty sure it's desigened that way and not sure if replacing the head pipe and adding a tuner/map will fix this. Have you noticed anything like that on your stock setup?

Hey Rob,

I remember the pictures you posted of Chip installing your mufflers. Your bike looks great!

If the only modification was lower back pressure mufflers, then you probably leaned out the motor and created extra heat. I rode with my Dad as a BSR in 80+* temps but felt no heat blowing from the lowers.  The bike seems to run great stock but I had success with Fullsac on the '09 and I'm sure the catless, ceramic coated headpipe will be a blessing in summer.  Plus, Steve seems to have gotten a significant power gain with his stage 1kit.  Dave mentioned he likes his, above but I think he installed prior to break in.

:vrolijk27:  More chrome!    :vrolijk27:  On a CVO?    :nixweiss:

I was thinking about having Joe paint the trim Abyss Blue.    :coolblue:

82* ride today with Dad on the back.  Did not feel any engine heat.

Looks like The Rock Store?? (with your Dad)

Installed a Fullsac Stainless DX header and 1.75" baffles, Sunday.  Very easy install and getting the pipes off allowed me to install more of my polished chrome bolts.  I don't have a laptop but my Aunt was kind enough to come by with hers to assist.  After installing the TTS software and updating, we ran out of time Sunday and resumed today.

Previously, I had an intermittent issue with the bike turning off while the on /off switch was on unless I started it right away.  Also,  the red alarm light would come on after riding a few miles.  Dealer thought it was related to the Kuryakyn LED Turn Signals I installed. Did not seem to be a serious problem until we began the TTS reprogramming.  Today, we could not keep the bike on to complete the reprogramming.  Calls to Fullsac and TTS did not help though both tried their best, thinking my battery might be low.  Put the bike on a charger but it did not help.  Then,  we could not get the bike to start at all!  Finally had the bike towed to the dealer and got there at 6:00.  One of the techs dug in and reflashed first my ECM and then BCM, trying to diagnose the issue.  Finally and fortuitously, he got the bike to stay on by pushing extra hard on the on / off switch which turned out to be defective and the root of the problem!

I put the bike back together while the tech replaced the switch.  My Aunt brought her laptop to the dealership in the evening traffic and we completed the reprogramming by about 8:30 p.m.  That made for a very long day!  I can't say there is a lot more power but the bike certainly runs smoother and is more responsive with the Stage 1.  I'm blue and tired but thankful and happy!

Glad you got it sorted out Greg.  That sure must have been frustrating.

I have used Fullsac exhaust on the last 6 bikes in our house, good results will all.
