Replaced all the lights in my CUSE4
« on: November 30, 2008, 10:30:46 AM »

I decided to change all the lights in my bike. First, I installed the Kuryakyn Panacea light in the tail lamp, front and rear turn signals. I took them from my previous CUSE '06.

Then, I replaced the passing lamps. I installed the PIAA 880 which was a suggestion from our dear amigo Howie. This is a picture with one PIAA 880 and the other one with stock bulb. They are Xtreme White Plus.

Finally I installed the PIAA H11 for Low Beam. I wanted all of the with PIAA but they don't have the H8 for High Beam. Went to Auto Parts and I found a bulb from Sylvania 893ST (SilverStar) which fitted perfectly. They are 38watt compared with 35watt stock bulb. Here a pic only with Low Beam on

Pack that stock H11 away and bring it with you on any trips. Can be a bear to find on the road. One reason I swapped out to the HID kit.
POI-with a bit of re-work you can get the H11 to fit in the high beam. Bumps up the wattage a bit too.

OK, I'm getting old. Get over it!

Jorge,
I picked up a set of 880's for the passing lamps and they did not fit (rear connector has to be 90 degrees out)
My CUSE3 needed 881's for rear clearance. I would not have thought that would have changed.
27 watt is the power needed for 880's and 881's
I will just return and order another set.
